Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
As I was a mom with one child with me, and other babies with me in the cradle worked 12 hours a day grinding floors and cutting off wallpaper. Ha! The home was beginning to look good, but there were a few things that needed to be left. In this undertaking, I was prepared to shell out a substantial amount of time and money searching for the perfect home. To stay in my budget I took my kids along to search for gems hidden in estate sales. It was a weekly tradition that we would stroll through estate and garage sales on Saturdays and Thursdays and purchase a variety of new and old pieces. I then spent my weekdays painting and sanding outside in our driveway. The furniture I found looked like... this is when my desire to repair furniture started. When our house was completed, I was unable to stop! There was an area on the market to sell items. Eventually I had more pieces that I had no idea how to use them and outgrew the area. Then I began hosting open houses in my home that saw more than 1 000 visitors came through on the span of a weekend. They could purchase anything they wanted on the ground floor. That's how my company Growing Days was born. The business wasn't just flourishing, but I was also growing our sweet family as well. Being a new mom, I found the right way to be able to begin my own business and also become a great mother. Growing Days fit perfectly. In 2013, my lovely daughter Nora was born. She is our fourth kiddo. Though I was content with the direction my business went, I was feeling like I needed to take some time off. I took a break from making vintage furniture, and also slowed my pace to be at home to take care of the kids. It was time. However after a few months after that, the phone began to call. People were calling me and needing help with the interior decoration and remodeling. It was mostly those who came to my open home to purchase furniture. In the following months, I began to take on new clients according to my own pace. Soon I had multiple clients, and had a business of home renovations. If you'd have predicted that this venture that I started would become the premise of a tv show for the DIY Network I probably would have laughed. It's fun to reflect to the idea.
